Josh Howard struggled with his shot in all aspects Saturday, hitting just 5-of-12 shots, 0-of-4 3-pointers and 6-of-10 free throws, but did have 16 points, four boards, two assists and three steals in his season debut.

Josh Smith hit 8-of-10 shots and 6-of-8 free throws on his way to 22 points, nine rebounds, seven assists and six blocks as the Hawks crushed the Nuggets in Atlanta on Saturday.
According to Steve Gilbert of MLB.com, the Diamondbacks and Blue Jays are "making progress" on a trade that would send Chris Snyder to Toronto and Lyle Overbay to Arizona.
