LOS ANGELES - John Wooden has been released from the hospital after a bout with pneumonia.
UCLA, the school Wooden coached to 10 national titles, says the 98-year-old basketball great is resting at home.
Wooden was admitted to a Los Angeles-area hospital Feb. 13.
Nan Muehlhausen, Wooden’s daughter, says her father is happy to be out of the hospital but still needs plenty of rest.
His family requested that well-wishers not call or visit.
Wooden spent time in the hospital a year ago after breaking his left wrist and collarbone in a fall at his suburban condo.
He retired 34 years ago.
Arc's five up, five down: After No. 11 Michigan State's 58-48 upset of No. 3 Ohio State, you'd be a fool to discount the Spartans' national title chances now.
Tim Hardaway Jr. scored 15 points and Evan Smotrycz added 13, helping No. 22 Michigan remain unbeaten at home with a 70-61 win over Illinois on Sunday.
