Hockey goalie makes NCAA-record 95 saves

McIntosh no sieve, shattering mark in team's 4-0 loss in Division III game

ASHLAND, Wis. - Northland goalie Daniel McIntosh made an NCAA-record 95 saves in a 4-0 loss to Adrian in a Division III game on Friday night.

McIntosh broke the Division III mark of 77 set by John Herud for Nichols against Maine in 1973. According to the NCAA record book, the Division I mark is 78, held by Rensselaer's Dick Greenlaw against Boston U. in 1965. There is no Division II in men's hockey.

Adam Krug scored twice for Adrian (16-1-1, 14-0-0) in the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association game. Northland (1-17-0, 1-12-0) had 11 shots on goal.
