Finland's Kuitunen rallies to win Tour de Ski

Saarinen takes second in 9-kilometer pursuit to wrap up 2nd place overall

VAL DI FIEMME, Italy - Virpi Kuitunen of Finland won the women's Tour de Ski title Sunday after taking first place in the 9-kilometer pursuit.

Kuitunen won the race in 37 minutes, 26.9 seconds, a day after winning the 10K classic race on Saturday.

Aino Kaisa Saarinen was second Sunday, 7.2 seconds behind, and took second in the Tour de Ski standings. Petra Majdic of Slovenia was third in both Sunday's race and the overall standings.

Kuitunen attacked from the front and led for most of the race, but with three kilometers to go, Saarinen made her move and broke away. Kuitunen came back with less than a kilometer to go and held on to win.
