Underdogs Ryan Bader and Efrain Escudero won titles in their respective divisions in the finals of The Ultimate Fighter.

Bader earned a first-round knockout over Vinny Magalhaes in the light-heavyweight final, while Escudero earned a unanimous decision over Phillipe Nover in the lightweight final.

Bader was an underdog to Magalhaes's jiu-jitsu prowess, but the fight was decided in the standup, where Bader landed an overhand right behind the ear. Magalhaes went down and Bader followed up with punches until the fight was stopped.

Escudero, a longshot over the hyped Nover, controlled the first two rounds of the fight and played the final round cautiously en route to the win.

Escudero, a full-time student at Grand Canyon University, dedicated the win to his father, who urged him to follow his dream while dying of cancer earlier this spring.

In an antcipated rematch, Anthony Johnson scored a third-round TKO over Kevin Burns, utilizing a highlight-reel leg kick in the third round that knocked Burns cold. In the first fight, Burns was awarded a disputed TKO victory in a controversial contest.  Burns hit Johnson with a palm strike, but his fingers dug into Johnson's eye, making it illegal. The referee didnt' see the infraction, however, and Burns was awarded the win.

The injury was so severe that Johnson needed surgery, but his appeal was denied, and Burns' win was upheld. Still, neither fighter felt the fight had a decisive finish, and so they did it over. After Johnson won each of the first two rounds, he earned a solid finish with the leg kick, which knocked Burns out for the win.

In a catchweight fight necessitated by Wilson Gouveia's failure to make the 185-pound middleweight limit, Gouveia dominated Jason MacDonald with a first-round win.

Gouveia put the tough MacDonald down and bloodied him with strikes from the top until the fight was stopped.

The controversial Junie Browning won his bout over Dave Kaplan with a second-round armbar.
