The Ultimate Fighter finale event, scheduled for Dec. 13, is now set after the final matchups were revealed on Wednesday night's show.
In the lightweight final, a pair of unbeatens will square off with Phillipe Nover battling Efrain Escudero. Nover impressed the UFC brass with his strong all-around game, surging to the finals with a pair of first-round submission wins over Dave Kaplan and George Roop. Escudero also advanced with a pair of submission victories, topping Shane Nelson and Junie Browning.
The light-heavyweight title fight features the decorated jiu-jitsu practitioner Vinny Magalhaes against former All-American wrestler Ryan Bader. Magalhaes won both of his qualifiers with first-round submissions, while Bader triumphed with a KO over Tom Lawlor and a decision against Eliot Marshall.
In the other televised matches, Kevin Burns will rematch with Anthony Johnson, middleweights Jason MacDonald and Wilson Gouveia will clash, and Junie Browning faces off with Dave Kaplan.
