IRVING, Texas - Cowboys linebacker DeMarcus Ware and running back Marion Barber left in the third quarter of Thursday’s game against Seattle with injuries, yet team owner Jerry Jones didn’t consider either one of them serious.
Ware sprained his left knee when his leg twisted awkwardly while rushing Seattle quarterback Matt Hasselbeck, whom he had already sacked three times. Ware’s foot seem to turn strangely on one step, then again on the next one before he fell to the ground.
Barber dislocated the pinkie toe on his right foot in the first half, and ran only one time after halftime before coming out of the Cowboys’ 34-9 victory for good.
“I’m optimistic about both of them,” Jones said after the game. “They’re thumbs up.”
Jones said both players would be evaluated. The Cowboys don’t practice again until Monday, and their next game is Dec. 7 at Pittsburgh.

“DeMarcus was moving around real well when he came in,” Jones said.
Barber got hurt late in the first half, and went to the locker room before halftime. He came back after the break, but ran only one more time. After a 4-yard run midway through the third quarter, he went to the sideline and never returned to the game.
Barber had 10 carries for 32 yards, including a 2-yard touchdown in the first quarter.
“Regarding the dislocation of Marion, we’ll have to see how that goes,” Jones said. “We’ll have to figure out a way to keep that in place, but he went back out after the dislocation. But we just didn’t think it was necessary to keep him out there very long.”
