The San Francisco Giants and free-agent shortstop Edgar Renteria have agreed to terms on a two-year, $18 million deal, WFAN in New York reported Monday.

Renteria would replace veteran Omar Vizquel, WFAN reported.

Renteria became a free agent when the Detroit Tigers declined a $12 million option for the 2009 season.
