Just a couple days after announcing he wouldn't re-sign with the Diamondbacks, free agent lefthander Randy Johnson has been linked to the Cubs.

The Chicago Tribune reports the Cubs' main focus remains re-signing 17-game winner Ryan Dempster. However, if that falls through, club sources confirmed Johnson would be an option.

Johnson's agent told the Chicago Tribune that the Big Unit and the Cubs would be a "perfect fit" and pointed out that current Cubs manager Lou Piniella managed Johnson when they both were with the Mariners.
