Oku ends suspense
David Oku, the nation’s No. 1 all-purpose running back, was thought to be a strong Tennessee lean, even though he took official visits to Louisville, Michigan and Nebraska. Oku, from Midwest City (Okla.) Carl Albert, decided to end the recruiting process while standing on the sideline this past Saturday at Neyland Stadium as the Vols were beating Mississippi State.

“It’s where I feel comfortable,” he said. “It wasn’t one specific thing. It wasn’t that I was looking for this or that in a school. It just felt right. • After the updated player rankings were released, the Rivals.com team rankings shuffled a bit. Ohio State remains No. 1, ahead of USC, Texas, LSU and Florida State. Missouri, Penn State and Wisconsin entered the top 25 at 23rd, 24th and 25th, respectively.
