Strikeforce continues its busy schedule in November, hosting a pair of title fights on Nov. 21 at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif.

Co-headlining the card, lightweight champion Josh "The Punk" Thomson will make his first title defense against respected veteran Yves Edwards.

Thomson (16-2) captured the crown with a dominant five-round unanimous decision over Gilbert Melendez in June. He scored his most recent victory in a non-title fight against Ashe Bowman in September.

Edwards (34-14-1) has prior history with Thomson. The two squared off at UFC 49 in August 2004, with Edwards winning via knockout from a headkick.

In the main vent, light-heavyweight champion Bobby Southworth will defend his belt against Renato "Babalu" Sobral.

The fight was originally scheduled to headline September's "Strikeforce at the Mansion II" show, but was scratched due to a Southworth injury. Sobral also was later injured also forced off the card.

The evening will also feature a bout between hard-hitting Joe "Diesel" Riggs and Luke Stewart.
