SAN DIEGO - Chargers wide receiver Chris Chambers missed practice Thursday and it’s likely that he’ll miss Sunday night’s home game against New England.
Chambers, who has five touchdown catches, sprained his ankle Sunday in a loss at Miami.
Chambers said he can’t remember a similar injury putting him on the sideline.
“It really doesn’t compare because I haven’t had much the last two, three years,” Chambers said. “In the offseason, you may tweak a hamstring, you may do something but the offseason’s nothing. Whereas getting it in the thick of the season, I haven’t had this come up in an awful long time so I just gotta manage it the best way I can.”
