That's where the Big Piney Punchers (this week's Gutsiest High School Football Team) has to battle the elements as they take the gridiron each week.

A few stats that might send a shiver through your bones:

- The altitude in Big Piney is 7,000 feet, nearly 2,000 feet higher than Denver.

- Big Piney has the lowest year-round average temperature in the United States.

Those are big reasons why the Punchers play their games at 3:00 in the afternoon on Fridays instead of in the dark cold air of Friday nights. But no matter ... the chill has not stopped Big Piney from staying hot over the past 10 years as they have won five state championships.
