LA LAKERS at NEW YORK
By Scott Delaney, Featured Handicapper
50 Dime college hoops winner on the Wisconsin Badgers on the road last night at Minnesota.
Upping the ante with something TWICE as strong tonight, my BIGGEST PLAY of the NBA Season , my One and Only 100 DIME First Half Blowout Game of the Year.
I'm not talking the first half of the game, I'm talking about the first half of this strike-shortened, abbreviated season and it goes tonight.
This will be my 100 Dime Winner 33 of 53 Overall in All Sports Combined and I feel this team wins by at least 20 points tonight in the biggest laugher on the board.
Nothing more needs to be said.
Before I get to today's free play...

Moving on to my free pick....
Let's take a look at the Lakers-Knicks at the Garden.
Forget about Amare and Carmelo, this has now turned into a showdown between Jeremy Lin and Kobe Bryant.
You know who one of them is, but if you need to know about Lin, tune into tonight's game - it's on national television. And for good reason, as Lin has suddenly emerged from obscurity, and now has the Knicks upper brass they may not need to trade away for star-guard before the deadline.
"Lin-sanity" is catching on, as the Knicks are seemingly gaining confidence along the way, not to mention victories.
I'm taking the New York Knicks to defeat Bryant and the Lakers at home for the first time in more than five years. After all, the Knicks were mired in a woeful 2-11 stretch from Jan. 12-to-Feb. 3, but Lin's surge has provided a spark since, averaging 25.3 points and 8.3 assists during a three-game winning streak heading into this contest.
While Knicks stars Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire are out - Anthony with a strained right groin and Stoudemire gone since the death of his brother - Lin has hoisted this team on his back, and I like his chances tonight.
Last night the Lakers were involved in an emotional win over the Celtics in Boston, an overtime thriller, that looked more like an NBA-version of Grumpy Old Men, as the two aging teams barely could produce the type of fireworks we've seen these team ignite in the past.
So despite the Knicks losing nine in a row to Los Angeles, including four straight at Madison Square Garden, I have to believe the Black Mamba will arrive in the Big Apple on tired legs and won't have enough to close the deal tonight.
The Knicks are on ATS runs of 4-0 at home and after one day's rest, 5-0 after an ATS cover, 4-1 as an underdog and 6-0 overall. On the other hand, the Lakers are mired in spread slides of 2-5 after a straight-up win and also when playing the second of back-to-back nights, 4-11 on the road and 2-6 against the Eastern Conference.
Take the home dog.
