Visiting Dog Nails Down Weekday Win:

The 11th week of the college football season got under way Tuesday night with a matchup from the Mid-American Conference (of course!), and two of the more prevalent --- though hardly dominant --- weekday betting trends held up: A visitor and an underdog bagged the cash.

Ohio got the victory straight-up (SU) and against the spread, edging Buffalo 27-24 as a 1-point road pup. Underdogs are now on a modest surge of 4-1-1 ATS in the last six weekday games, going back through last week's contests, and in the 38 weekday games this season, the pups are 21-16-1 against the oddsmakers.

The Bobcats also delivered on a slightly stronger trend, helping the visitors improve to 22-15-1 at the betting window in weekday affairs.

The weekday games have served up one trend that has been as close to money in the bank as you can get in the 50-50 proposition that is sports betting: SU winners beating the number. Ohio delivered on that end, as well, with weekday SU winners improving to 30-7-1 ATS, covering the number at a stout 81.1 percent clip.

 College Football Fraud Five:

With Week 11 already upon us, let's take a quick peek back at the worst lines posted on Saturday's college football slate, with this week's edition of the Fraud Five:

1: Oregon (-7) at Stanford: The Ducks, coming off a blowout home victory over Southern Cal, carried the No. 7 ranking into Stanford, and there were even some murmurs that perhaps Oregon was playing the best ball in the nation. Listen for those murmurs now, and all you'll hear are crickets chirping. Stanford rolls, 51-42.

2: Iowa (-14.5) vs. Northwestern: There really wasn't anybody claiming the unbeaten Hawkeyes were playing the best ball in the nation. They'd been fortunate enough to reach 9-0 and move up to No. 8 in the polls, but doubts about their legitimacy remained. Iowa lost outright at home to the Wildcats, 17-10.

3: Notre Dame (-12.5) vs. Navy: Charlie Weis doesn't even sit down anymore. His seat is just way too hot for that. Navy wins outright 23-21, in the shadow of Touchdown Jesus, who rumor has it now has his hands covering his eyes.

4: Cincinnati (-17) vs. Connecticut: The fourth-ranked Bearcats managed to avert the upset, getting outscored 21-10 in the fourth quarter, but hanging on for the 47-45 home victory.

5: Missouri (-14) vs. Baylor: When a team is laying two touchdowns, and falls 23 points short of cashing, that's never a good thing. Unless, of course, you had Baylor. Bears win on the road, 40-32.

 College Football Two-Minute Drill:

As I told you yesterday, the MAC --- the official conference of weekday college football --- is carrying the banner this week, giving you all sorts of mediocre games with which to fill your weeknights. Tonight, it's Toledo at Central Michigan, so let's check some noteworthy numbers:

Central Michigan is on positive pointspread streaks of 36-15-3 overall, 16-4-1 in the home jerseys, 22-7-2 in the mighty MAC and 13-3 as a home chalk.

The Rockets are in ATS ruts of 1-4 after a bye week, 8-19 on the highway and 5-12 as a road pup.

 NBA Fast Break:

We'll finish it up with a few NBA trends:

The Magic are on a 10-1 ATS tear against the Cavaliers, including 5-1 in last season's Eastern Conference finals. Orlando is on further spread-covering streaks of 11-3 against the East and 10-4 against Central Division foes.

The visiting Cavs are on pointspread skids of 4-9-1 overall, 3-9-1 against the Eastern Conference and 2-6-1 against the Southeast Division.

The Mavericks are 11-3 ATS on their last 14 trips to San Antonio, and they've cashed in five of their last six games overall.

The Spurs are on a 4-1 ATS run at home, but they are on ATS slides of 1-5 against winning teams and 2-7 in the Southwest Division.

The SU winner has covered in the last 10 clashes between the Mavs and the Spurs.
