LeBron James just might do it.
A person close to James said the Cleveland Cavaliers All-Star forward would strongly consider playing in Europe if he was offered a salary of "around $50 million a year," according to ESPN.com.
James' current deal expires after the 2009-10 season. Many teams, including the New York Knicks and New Jersey Nets, are trying to create enough salary cap space to make a run at James, but none could offer a contract beginning at even $20 million a year.
The person added that Russian team CSKA Moscow and the Greek team Olympiacos have already contacted James, but added that no monetary or contractual discussions have taken place.
PBT: Boston's Rajon Rondo continues to be named in trade talks, which is madness. The Celtics guard creates offense and makes everyone around him better, which was evident in Sunday's win over the Bulls.
Paul Pierce has been around long enough to know what Rajon Rondo's performance can mean for the aging Boston Celtics.
