According to a press release, the movie, which will be shot in 3-D, is about a group of misfit kids who are sent to a martial arts academy to learn self-defense.
Stereo Vision chairman Doug Schwartz was the co-creator of the long-running syndicated hit show "Baywatch."
"We're very happy to have Kimbo Slice co-starring in 'Kung Fu U," Schwartz said. "He has an enormous media presence, and he'll fit right in with our star Hulk Hogan, and the other cast members in our made for kids 3-D movie."
The company is hoping to have the movie in theaters in the fall of 2009.
The move is the latest in the transformation of Kimbo Slice, who made his name as a Youtube legend fighting as a backyard brawler. He also worked for a time as a bodyguard for a pornography company. He eventually began training mixed martial arts with legendary fighter Bas Rutten, and has a 3-0 career record, most recently beating James Thompson on May 31 in what was the highest-rated mixed martial arts match in U.S. history with over 6.5 million people watching his main-event bout.
Just last week, MMA apparel industry leader TapouT announced that they signed Slice to an exclusive deal.
He is expected to fight again in October on CBS, although his opponent has not yet been named.
Hogan is one of the biggest wrestling stars in history from his time in World Wrestling Entertainment, and currently stars on NBC's "American Gladiators."
