'Boys overcome distractions, shut down Giants

The soap opera that is the Dallas Cowboys' offense gets all the attention. The defense, however, is keeping them in the playoff hunt. The Cowboys earned a much-needed win over the Giants.

All about defense

The Washington Redskins must be glad they don’t face their so-called rivals on a regular basis. Ed Reed set up a touchdown with an interception and scored on a 22-yard fumble return, part of a stifling effort by the Baltimore defense in a 24-10 victory Sunday night.

Colts earn revenge with critical win over Chargers

The Chargers eliminated the Colts from the playoffs last season, but Indy's 23-20 win over San Diego this year may keep the Bolts from the postseason completely. Adam Vinatieri's 51-yard last-second field goal provided the game-winning points.

Cowboys rally behind Romo to beat Redskins

Rejoining the Cowboys after a three-game hiatus due to a broken pinkie, Tony Romo looked far from perfect but still led Dallas past Washington, 14-10.

Giants solidify their hold on NFC East

Struggling to solidify their position as a playoff contender, the Eagles needed to beat the Giants on Sunday night. But missed opportunities prevented Philly from getting the win, and New York pulled out a 36-31 victory on the road.
