Let's hope this week's U.S. Women's Open at the private Interlachen Country Club in Minnesota brings a cliffhanger of Rocco-Tiger proportions. In honor of our national championship, here are four deals at Women's Open courses you can play.
The Broadmoor, Colorado Springs, Colo.
Five Star Golf Getaway
Details: One night's accommodations, a round with cart, personal locker, club storage, range balls, and full breakfast.
What You'll Love: The Broadmoor East Course, designed by Donald Ross and Robert Trent Jones, is where Annika Sorenstam two-ferred in 1995, winning not just her first Open, but her first professional victory. The course will host again in 2011. You can also play the Mountain and West Courses, and at more than 6,000 feet in elevation, you'll feel like Annika off the tee on all three tracks.
Price: Start at $406 per person, based on double occupancy. Suites are available at 15 percent off published rates.
Contact: 866-837-9520, broadmoor.com
Valid: May 1 through October 31, 2008

Pine Needles Lodge
and Mid Pines Inn, Southern Pines, N.C.
Donald Ross Golf Package
Details: Deluxe accommodations at either resort, 36 holes of golf per day with cart, range balls, club storage, daily breakfast and dinner.
What You'll Love: The home of illustrious teacher Peggy Kirk Bell, this resort has hosted three Women's Opens since 1996, when Annika won her second. Karrie Webb took the title in 2001, and last year Cristie Kerr won her first major there. The two sandhills courses are Donald Ross at his finest, rivaling nearby Pinehurst. Another distinction: Pine Needles was named Golf for Women's top public course for women.
Price: $270 per person, per night, on weekdays and $310 on weekends, not including a 15 percent resort fee and taxes, 2008. A two-night minimum stay is required.

Valid: Ongoing, with the above price good through September 3.

The Homestead Resort, Hot Springs, Va.
Legendary Tee for Two Golf Package
Details: Accommodations, daily breakfast and dinner, a round golf with cart per night, use of driving range, and a sleeve of Titleist balls per person.
What You'll Love: The Cascades Course hosted the Women's Open just once, in 1967 (Catherine LaCoste won). Playing this course, which was designed by William Flynn in 1923, feels like stepping back into the days when Sam Snead roamed its fairways — all Golden Age charm and misty-mountain atmosphere.
Price: Starting at $663 per room per night based on double occupancy. Tax and 15 percent daily resort fee are not included and there's an $85 surcharge to play the Cascades Course.

Valid: Ongoing.

American Club, Kohler, Wisc.
Golf Kohler Package
Details: Two nights' accommodations for two golfers, plus three rounds on the River, Meadow Valleys and Irish Courses.
What You'll Love: Se Ri Pak won the 1998 Open on the River Course here, but it's probably Jenny Chuasiriporn's 40-foot putt to force a playoff — and her huge grin afterward — that everyone remembers best. There's plenty for you to smile about too on a course that gets its bite and scenic charm from the Sheboygan River.
Price: Rates start at $967.50 through September and at $869.50 for October.

Valid: Through October 2008
