Roger Federer vs. Rafael Nadal (2007)
In 2007 for the second straight year, the Wimbledon finals pitted Roger Federer against Rafael Nadal. Surpassing the previous year's championship in excitement, the Spaniard pushed the four-time defending champion to five sets before Federer eventually prevailed. The pressure of the match competition got to Federer, who uncharacteristically lost his cool and loudly objected to the use of Hawk-eye, but he was able to win his record-equaling fifth straight championship at the All England Club. Bjorn Borg was on hand to congratulate Federer on tying his mark.
Opinion: Whether Williams can beat top foes on clay is one of the main French Open storylines.
