John McEnroe vs. Jimmy Connors (1982)
Three points away from defeat in the fourth-set tiebreak, Jimmy Connors not only rallied to claim the set against John McEnroe, but he also captured the 1982 Wimbledon title. It was his second men's singles Grand Slam championship at the All England Club, with the second title coming eight years after his first. McEnroe was seeded first at the event while Connors was seeded second, but Connors had a 10-8 career record over McEnroe heading into Wimbledon that year.
The United States completed a 5-0 rout of Switzerland in the Davis Cup on Sunday, with 19-year-old Ryan Harrison and John Isner winning closing singles matches.
