Andre Agassi vs. Rafael Nadal (2006)
One of the most emotional moments at the All England Club came in 2006 when Andre Agassi lost to Rafael Nadal. After the straight-set defeat, Agassi, whose retirement would come just months later, was treated to a long standing ovation as the fans recognized his remarkable career. Blowing kisses and bowing in all directions, Agassi remained for awhile on court to soak in the reception. He was then handed a microphone so he could address the court, wiping away tears as he said, "I'll never be able to repay you for how you've embraced me over the years, and I thank you for that." He later added "It's been a privilege to be out there again for one last time. I'll look back at this as one of my most memorable experiences. For me, this means as much as winning, saying goodbye."
