Opened in 2007 in University Place, Wash., near Tacoma, Wash., Chambers Bay is a public course on land owned by Pierce County. It was designed as a true Scottish links-style golf course, meaning it features coastal sand dunes and has few water hazards or trees. When Chambers Bay hosts the 2015 U.S. Open, it will be the first time ever the tournament will be held in the Pacific Northwest.
