In 1930, Bobby Jones achieved "The Impregnable Quadrilateral," winning all four majors in a single year. One part of that success came in the U.S. Open, where he captured the title by two strokes. That win wasn't a forgone conclusion, however, as his approach shot on the 72nd hole was around 40 feet away from the pin and he led by just one stroke. Jones holed his putt for birdie, however, and captured his fourth U.S. Open championship.
