Aided by four birdies in the first four holes, Johnny Miller surged up the leaderboard on the final day of the 1973 U.S. Open. He shot a tournament record eight-under 63, hitting all 18 greens in regulation and jumping from 12th to first. What makes his scorching score even more impressive is the fact it came on a day where only four other golfers shot under par.
