Davis, who secured $24 million in guarantees when he signed with Jacksonville last year, managed 20 catches for 239 yards and two touchdowns over ten games in his only year with the Jags. The Davis signing is yet another in a string of disastrous decisions by the former Jacksonville front office. With Brian Thomas and Travis Hunter in the fold, the Jaguars ended their experiment with Davis, 26. He should see interest from wideout-needy teams in the coming weeks, including perhaps the Lions. Davis will be locked into a strictly downfield role wherever he lands this spring or summer.

Lazard has followed Aaron Rodgers from the Packers to the Jets, and now possibly to Pittsburgh if Rodgers decides to sign there and play again in 2025. Lazard, who recently took a massive pay cut, had 29 catches over seven games with Rodgers under center for the Jets in 2024. He had been a healthy scratch for much of the 2023 season, which Rodgers missed with an Achilles injury. “The possibility hinges largely if not entirely on Rodgers signing with the Steelers,” Florio said. “While nothing with Rodgers is ever done until it’s done, the persistent thinking continues to be that it will happen.” Lazard would likely operate as the No. 2 wideout in Pittsburgh behind DK Metcalf. The team’s run heaviness and resulting dearth of targets would make it difficult for Lazard to be fantasy relevant in 2025.

The move, which includes a 2026 third round pick and a 2027 fifth round pick sent to the Steelers, comes after another ESPN report saying Pickens, 24, wanted to remain in Pittsburgh. Acquiring Pickens — who has 2,841 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns over three NFL seasons — addresses an area of acute need for the Cowboys, who have one of the league’s weakest wideout room behind CeeDee Lamb. Pickens and Lamb will make for one of the NFL’s best receiver duos, with Pickens functioning as a viable downfield threat for Dak Prescott, who last season ranked 15th out of 40 qualifying quarterbacks in deep ball accuracy. Pickens in 2024 was third in deep targets and second only to Alec Pierce in receiving yards on downfield receptions. Pickens will have far more upside in the Dallas offense than he did in Pittsburgh. DK Metcalf, meanwhile, will enter the 2025 season as the unquestioned No. 1 wideout for the run-heavy Steelers. His fantasy prospects look much brighter with Pickens in Dallas.

Johnson’s deal with Cleveland is the veteran minimum of $1.17 million for 2025. Johnson, 28, has played or talked his way off of several teams over the past two years, including the Panthers, Ravens, and Texans. A consistent target commander in the short areas of the field, Johnson has amassed 424 catches for 4,738 yards and 28 touchdowns in his six-year NFL career and could make an immediate impact in the Browns offense alongside Jerry Jeudy if he remains in good standing with the Cleveland coaching staff this summer.

“We traded up for him. We’re ecstatic to have him,” Schoen said of Dart, the Ole Miss QB taken with the 25th pick of the 2025 NFL Draft. “He’s got the makings of a good quarterback, and there’s a long way to go. There’s a developmental process that he’s going to have to go through. Again, these offenses are not easy to learn, and the execution has to be at a high level.” Dart, who is expected to start the season behind Russell Wilson and perhaps Jameis Winston, will use his spring and summer spending “time ... in the meeting room breaking down video of what [head coach Brian] Daboll wants” from his quarterbacks. Dart is fully expected to sit during his rookie campaign, perhaps getting some late-season playing time if the Giants’ season goes up in flames again.

The writing was on the wall after the draft, where Baltimore drafted rookie kicker Tyler Loop as Tucker’s replacement. Tucker has spent most of the late season and offseason dealing with sexual misconduct allegations from massage therapists in Baltimore-area spas, and had by far the worst season of his career in 2024, making 73.3 percent of his 30 field-goal attempts. The Ravens stood by him throughout the process and framed moving on from him as a “football decision” in a statement, but it’s hard to believe they would have moved on from him if not for the allegations. Tucker will likely have to clear his name, as Brandon McManus did this past offseason, before he gets another NFL chance. The NFL’s investigation into Tucker’s behavior is, per CBS’ Jonathan Jones, still “under review.”

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport was the first to report the deal. While we’ve known since February that a deal had been negotiated, the dollar amount had not yet been disclosed. It was reported in March that Stafford and the Rams will operate on a “year-to-year basis” for the remainder of their relationship, and for this year, he will receive a guaranteed $40 million in addition to another $4 million he has already received. Stafford will be 37 this season and is coming off a year in which he threw for 3,762-20-7 while completing 65.8 percent of his passes. While he’s far from being the elite passer we saw during the prime of his career, Stafford still ranked 15th amongst qualified QBs in EPA per play last season and was seventh in expected completion percentage. Rapoport notes that if Stafford is on the Rams’ roster next season he would secure another $40 million for 2026.

Speaking on an episode of her Scoop City podcast, Russini highlights Purdy’s participation in OTAs as “evidence” that a deal is likely coming. While that opinion is largely speculative, she goes on to add that she’s been “doing some digging on it” and feels good about the direction negotiations are heading in. It’s possible that Purdy reporting to OTAs is more a sign off good will than a signal to a deal being done, but we also saw George Kittle report to voluntary workouts shortly before he signed his new deal. Regardless, Purdy won’t go into the season on the contract he signed after being made the Mr. Irrelevant pick of the 2022 NFL Draft. In what was a down season for the 49ers in 2024, Purdy threw for 3,864-20-12 while adding a career-high 323 rushing yards and five touchdowns. He has the looks of a low-end QB1/high-end QB2 heading into the upcoming fantasy season.

Joe Burrow continues to push for his guys. After standing in the corner for Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, who both signed extensions this offseason, Russini reports Burrow has remained “adamant” about Hendrickson remaining with the team and suggested a “hometown discount” could be in the works on Hendrickson’s end. The Bengals selected pass rusher Shemar Stewart in the first round of this year’s draft, which many believed would spell the end of Hendrickson’s time in Cincinnati. However, with the team appearing intent on keeping the band together in 2025 and beyond, it sounds like the chances of Hendrickson being traded are slowly dwindling.
