KENT, Wash. - A man accused of shooting three people outside a Las Vegas strip club and then extorting money from professional football player Adam “Pacman” Jones has been ordered held on $1 million bail.
Arvin Kenti Edwards, of Renton, declined to appear in King County Superior Court on Wednesday. He’s being held for investigation of being a fugitive from justice pending his extradition to Nevada.
Police there say Edwards opened fire after a brawl at the Minxx strip joint in February 2007, and that he later demanded $15,000 from Jones for “services rendered.” Jones, who says he didn’t order the hit, declined to pay, but he did reimburse a friend after the friend paid the money on Jones’ behalf.
