On a CBS pregame segment on Saturday afternoon, the sublimely gifted freshman forward wryly noted that, "I may be the tallest building in this town." Meaning his college town of Manhattan, Kansas. After K-State's loss to Wisconsin, Beasley sounded very much like Mike Huckabee in discussing his college career, saying, "As of right now, I'm a Kansas State Wildcat."

Don't blame Beasley if he goes. Blame a system fostered by David Stern and acquiesced to by the NCAA that compels universities to be hypocrites and athletes like Beasley to be mercenaries.
