Dolphins reportedly plan to keep Taylor

Miami refutes report that 11-year defensive end out before draft

The Miami Dolphins have no plans to release defensive end Jason Taylor, team vice president Bill Parcells said, ESPN reported Sunday.

Parcells was responding to a report Saturday night that Taylor would be leaving the Dolphins, the only team he has played for in his 11 NFL seasons, before the NFL draft.

"This latest report is just another example of journalistic irresponsibility," Parcells said, ESPN reported.

Taylor, the 2006 NFL defensive player of the year, had 11 sacks for the Dolphins last season. Miami went 1-15 last year, then hired Parcells to run their football operations and fired coach Cam Cameron.
