McCullough, Condit put World Extreme Cagefighting titles on line

Kimbo
Showtime’s EliteXC has it’s own version of Brock Lesnar when it showcases a fight between street fighting legend Kimbo Slice against former UFC bar room brawler Tank Abbott on Feb. 16 in Miami. It will also be televised by Showtime.

Slice has only one MMA fight under his belt and that was a quick knockout over an unwilling opponent who quit before he took any real punishment.

Abbott won’t quit in the cage but how long can the combination of hard drinking and hard fighting mix in a sport that requires a lot of training and resilience. We’ll have more next week.

IFL changes
The IFL middleweight championship bout has been changed. Champion Matt Horwich will now face Ryan McGivern in the main event at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas on Feb. 29.

McGivern replaces Tim Kennedy who was called to military duty.

Several team bouts featuring gym against gym will be held including Xtreme Couture and Matt Lindland’s Team Quest in Portland, Oregon.

For more information call (702) 284-7777.
