NHL on NBC playoffs schedule
NBC Sports' coverage of the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs continues this weekend with the Detroit Red Wings and Pittsburgh Penguins looking to advance to the Stanley Cup Final. The Red Wings will host the Dallas Stars Saturday at 1:30 p.m. ET, holding a 3-1 lead in their Western Conference Final series. On Sunday at 3 p.m. ET, the Philadelphia Flyers will try to keep their Eastern Conference Final series alive in Pittsburgh, trailing 3-1.
Mike "Doc" Emrick (play-by-play), Eddie Olczyk (analyst) and Mike Milbury (inside-the-glass reporter) call the action. On Saturday, Bill Patrick, subbing for Pierre McGuire, will host NBC's studio show on site from Detroit, alongside Milbury. Sunday in Pittsburgh, Bob Neumeier, fresh off his Saturday Preakness assignment, will fill in for McGuire.
Every 33 years...: Both the Stars and the Flyers are looking to rally from 0-3 deficits. Only two times in NHL history has a team come back from 0-3 to win a series: the 1942 Toronto Maple Leafs versus the Detroit Red Wings and the 1975 New York Islanders against the Maple Leafs.
NBCSports.com offers Star-Cam: NBCSports.com will offer two "Star-cams" for each of the remaining Stanley Cup Playoff and Final games, allowing the site's visitors to view a camera isolated on a specific player for each team on each shift.
