LAWRENCE, Kan. - The hearing for Kansas star Brandon Rush for failing to appear in court on traffic charges was delayed until after the basketball season.
Rush was arrested Dec. 6 on two warrants and was released after posting $500 bond.
On Wednesday, a judge granted a postponement until April 11. The NCAA men's basketball championship is April 7 in San Antonio.
Rush missed a court date Nov. 28 for charges of speeding and driving with a suspended license Oct. 19. He also faces charges from a December 2006 case for driving on the wrong side of the road and having no proof of insurance.
Rush is the leading scorer the past two seasons for No. 3 Kansas. The 6-foot-6 guard has averaged 10.3 points as a reserve while recovering from a knee injury. Ligament surgery in June forced him to withdraw from last year's NBA draft.
