  • BOS Third Baseman #11
Devers’ home run streak officially ends at six games, but he did manage to push his hitting streak to 11 games in the 5-2 win over the Rays. Devers’ lone hit came in the second inning, as he later came around to score on a Vaughn Grissom single. Devers has totaled 13 hits in his last 44 at-bats and is batting .286 on the month. We’ll see if he can stay hot and get another home run streak going in his next outing.
  • CWS Left Fielder #74
Not good. Jiménez is currently in the midst of an extended offensive slump and will almost certainly wind up requiring a trip to the injured list. The oft-injured 27-year-old outfielder simply hasn’t been able to stay on the field the last few years, which diminishes his appeal for fantasy managers, despite his immense talent. There should be an update regarding the severity of the injury at some point in the near future after he undergoes some additional imaging.
  • MIN Center Fielder #25
Buxton helped Minnesota snap a seven-game losing streak with a 10-run explosion highlighted by his 11th career multi-homer performance. The 30-year-old center fielder has undeniably gotten off to an ice-cold start at the plate this season, but he’s shown some signs of life since returning from the injured list earlier this week. He took Nationals starter Patrick Corbin deep in the second and fifth innings, respectively, to spearhead the Twins’ offensive outburst. We’re not going to draw too many conclusions from a single contest, but this certainly feels like it has the potential to be a confidence-booster for Buxton moving forward.
  • MIN Starting Pitcher #41
Ryan’s velocity was up across the board as his four-seam fastball had a little bit of extra life on it, which led to an impressive eight swinging strikes and a near-elite 39 percent CSW. He limited Washington’s lineup to just three hits and a pair of walks over seven stellar frames. The 27-year-old righty will bring a strong 3.15 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 64/9 K/BB ratio across 60 innings (10 starts) into a home outing on Monday against the division-rival Royals.
  • LAD Starting Pitcher #28
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters afterwards that Miller will make a minor league rehab start on Sunday for Single-A Rancho Cucamonga. The hard-throwing 25-year-old righty will likely require a handful of rehab outings to build up his pitch count and stamina as he works his way back from right shoulder inflammation that put him on the shelf back in mid-April.
  • COL Third Baseman #22
Jones underwent a precautionary MRI that came back clean, but will still have his rehab assignment paused for at least a few days to rest and recover before getting back into game action. The 26-year-old slugger has been on the shelf since late April due to a lower back strain after slashing a lackluster .170/.243/.277 with one homer and two steals in 26 contests.
  • CWS Center Fielder #88
The plan appears to be for Robert to get a couple games in this week out in Arizona before heading out on an official minor league rehab assignment next week. The 26-year-old fantasy superstar has been on the shelf since early April due to a Grade 2 hip flexor strain that was expected to keep him sidelined for at least 6-8 weeks. Barring any setbacks, he should return at some point in early June.
  • CHC Starting Pitcher #28
The writing was seemingly on the wall after Hendricks was torched for eight runs (seven earned) over 4 2/3 innings on Friday against the Pirates. The soft-tossing 34-year-old righty has struggled mightily this season to a disastrous 10.57 ERA, 1.99 WHIP and 25/11 K/BB ratio across 30 2/3 innings (seven starts). He’ll presumably operate in mop-up duty until further notice with either Ben Brown or Hayden Wesneski likely moving into Chicago’s rotation until Jordan Wicks is ready to return from the injured list.
  • ATL Third Baseman #27
No surprise here as Riley will miss his eighth straight contest due to an ongoing side issue after sitting out both contests of Monday’s doubleheader. There’s been zero indication that he’ll wind up requiring a trip to the injured list, despite the fact that he’s yet to resume swinging a bat. It’s a frustrating situation for fantasy managers, but it doesn’t sound like the Braves are going to make a roster move at this juncture. It’ll be Zack Short drawing another start at the keystone on Tuesday night at Wrigley Field.
  • NYY Starting Pitcher #45
Cole told reporters afterwards that he came out of facing hitters for the first time since landing on the injured list back in spring training without any issues. The 33-year-old fantasy ace added that he wouldn’t rule out a potential return at some point next month. He’ll presumably face hitters a couple more times before heading out for a handful of minor league rehab starts to build up his pitch count and stamina.
