Guarded by Tiffany Hayes for most of Thursday’s defeat, Clark produced arguably her worst performance of the season to date. The Fever star missed all seven of her three-point attempts and was responsible for six turnovers. While there have been two games in which Clark exceeded that turnover count, her 11 points against the Valkyries were tied for a season-low. That said, there isn’t a need for fantasy managers to panic, as Clark is ranked third in fantasy points per game in ESPN leagues behind Napheesa Collier and A’ja Wilson. She’ll bounce back, potentially as soon as Sunday’s game against the Aces.

Stewart had one of the more impressive stretches of basketball this season, putting together an 18-point third quarter on 7-of-8 shooting to erase a halftime deficit and give New York a lead going into the final frame. Also worth noting is Stewart’s contributions from beyond the arc — three three-pointers is a season-high and she has now made four of her last seven attempts. If Stewart can consistently knock down her threes, she’ll see even greater success in what’s been a strong season for her in fantasy basketball leagues.

Thomas put forth an impressive effort for the Mercury on Thursday. On the second night of a back-to-back, the veteran forward was able to log 27 minutes against the Liberty, led all players in rebounds by a wide margin, and was one of five Mercury players to reach double figures in scoring. Thomas had fewer than 10 assists for the first time since May, though Thursday’s lower total likely had to do with how inefficiently Phoenix shot the ball from the field. Nevertheless, Thomas had herself a fantastic game. Fantasy managers should expect her to continue stuffing the stat sheet as the season rolls on.

Having missed the Aces’ last two games due to concussion protocols, there’s a chance Wilson will play on Friday. In her absence, Las Vegas has gone small, shifting Chelsea Gray to the four with Tiffany Mitchell entering the starting lineup. If Wilson plays, Mitchell will return to the bench.

The Sun rookie Morrow has struggled to earn meaningful minutes on the floor until Wednesday night when the Sun faced the Mercury and their former franchise face Alyssa Thomas for the first time this season. When Sun head coach Rachid Meziane put Morrow into the game for the first time with 2:23 minutes left in the first quarter, she made an immediate impact picking up a rebound and two steals in her first few minutes of play. Morrow didn’t score the basketball until the third quarter when she scored 12 of her 16 total points. She hit a couple of mid-range jumpers and then put the ball on the floor, showing off her face-up game. Her 16 points were the most for a Sun player coming off the bench this season.

Ogwumike did whatever she wanted on Tuesday, shooting 75 percent from the field and leading all scorers with 26 points. The point total was a season-high for the veteran forward, who had a streak of three consecutive 20-point games last month. Since then, Ogwumike had one 20-point game to her credit before Tuesday, Seattle’s win over the Lynx on June 11. She’ll look to build on Tuesday’s effort when the Storm visit Las Vegas on Friday.

Typically, when a player puts on a show, it happens on the offensive end of the floor. That was not the case for Williams, who was stellar defensively in Seattle’s blowout of the Sparks. She matched her career-high for steals in a game, six, by halftime and finished with a franchise-record eight on the night. Also, Williams is the second player since 2006 to record at least eight steals in a game, with Napheesa Collier doing so last season. Williams may not record gaudy point totals consistently, but her all-around game makes the Storm forward one of the best players to have rostered in fantasy basketball at her position. The lone negative for Williams was the sprained ankle she suffered early in the fourth quarter, which may cast some doubt on her status for Friday’s game against the Aces.

With UConn head coach Geno Auriemma in attendance, Bueckers filled the stat sheet, as she did consistently throughout her storied college career. The rookie has shot 50 percent or better from the field in five of her nine appearances this season, and the four steals recorded on Tuesday are a new high. There’s still work to be done regarding the chemistry between Bueckers and Arike Ogunbowale, but both playing well in Tuesday’s victory was an encouraging sign for the Wings, who are now 2-11.

Ionescu stayed hot on Tuesday, eclipsing the 30-point mark for the second time in as many games. The former first overall pick recorded 11 first-quarter points and did not take her foot off the gas, scoring nine points in the next two frames before sealing the deal down the stretch at the free-throw line. With back-to-back 34-point games, Ionescu continues to have a sensational month of June and is now averaging 24.4 points through five games. She’ll have a chance on Thursday for a third-straight 30-point game when the Liberty hosts the Mercury.
