McFadden leaving Arkansas after season?

Mother says junior running back plans on ‘making big money’ in NFL

Arkansas star running back Darren McFadden will play one more season of college football before turning pro, according to an ESPN report, which quoted McFadden's mother.

"He told me [Friday], 'Mom, I'll be through in December,'" Mini Muhammed told ESPN. "I said, 'What you mean?' He said, 'I'll be through.' That's what he told me."

Asked if that meant her son would enter the NFL draft after his junior season, Muhammed said, "Yeah. He'll be making big money."

McFadden was second in the Heisman voting last season, losing out to Ohio State quarterback Troy Smith. He rushed for 1,647 yards and scored 14 touchdowns. He also played some quarterback for the Razorbacks.

McFadden, 6-foot-2, 215 pounds, told ESPN on Wednesday that he would not make a decision until after the conclusion of his junior season.

"A lot will have to do with how I perform this season, McFadden said.
