Chicago Bulls
We’ll see. The Bulls have taken two players in the first round the last two years who do not have a jump shot: Noah and Tyrus Thomas. Noah has energy, but I would have grabbed Spencer Hawes, a better scorer in the low post. The Bulls feel they are close to the finals, so they got a seasoned player in Noah who goes hard. We’ll see. He is 7-feet and blocks shots. Who on this team can score with their back to the basket? The Bulls get 7-footer Aaron Gray, who may or may not help.
Charlotte Bobcats
The Bobcats needed a big guard/small forward. When they took Brandan Wright, I went, “Why?” The why was answered when Wright was traded to Golden State for Jason Richardson, the 16-point scorer the Bobcats need at the 2. Charlotte might have given away too much, we’ll see.
Philadelphia 76ers
They need rebounding and get Thaddeus Young of Georgia Tech with the No. 12. He doesn’t board; he shoots. Picking up Jason Smith was a good get in the trade with the Heat.
Los Angeles Clippers

Milwaukee Bucks
Did the Bucks scout this guy enough? Does Yi Jianlian even want to be in Milwaukee? The Bucks better hope this guy gets with the program and pairs with Andrew Bogut and Michael Redd.
Phoenix Suns
The Suns just picked up one of the top players in the Big Ten in Alando Tucker. He is a tough, physical player who will get on the court and make some contributions with defense and mid-range scoring.
L.A. Lakers
The Lakers took another point guard when they should have looked for a surprise, a home run, a wild card. Javaris Crittenton is a 6-foot-5 point guard who is more skilled than Jordan Farmar, the point guard taken in the 2006 first round. But this is the Lakers, get a player with some wonder.
Orlando
Reyshawn Terry? Who knows? Could stick with the Magic, but is probably a guy who will make a living with a lot of different teams.
C-
Miami Heat
The Heat got Daequan Cook in a trade with Philadelphia. He was a freshman who should have stayed in school, but the Heat think he is a terrific shooter who can work off D-Wade and Jason Williams.
Houston Rockets
Houston took mighty mite Aaron Brooks of Oregon in the first round, who is generously listed as 6-foot by some. The Rockets also grabbed a 6-6 shooting guard from Australia in Brad Newley. So who is going to guard 6-foot-5 Deron Williams of Utah in the playoffs?
Incomplete
Cleveland Cavaliers, Denver Nuggets, Indiana Pacers, Toronto Raptors.
No picks.
Kobe Bryant hit a baseline jump shot with 4.2 seconds left and the Los Angeles Lakers wrapped up a six-game road trip by holding on to beat the Raptors 94-92 on Sunday, their eighth victory in nine meetings with Toronto
