NEW YORK - Academy Award winner Jennifer Hudson will perform “The Star-Spangled Banner” as part of Jackie Robinson Day celebrations Sunday marking the 60th anniversary of Robinson breaking baseball’s color barrier.

Now in its fourth year, Jackie Robinson Day will be marked at each of the 15 major league games Sunday.

Hudson, who won the 2007 best supporting actress Oscar for playing Effie “Melody” White in “Dreamgirls,” will sing the national anthem at Dodger Stadium before Los Angeles’ game against the San Diego Padres.

Others scheduled to be at Dodger Stadium include Robinson’s widow, Rachel Robinson, their daughter, author Sharon Robinson; their son, David Robinson; several of Robinson’s former teammates; baseball executives, and civic and industry leaders.

Hudson sang “God Bless America” during the first game of the 2006 World Series in Detroit.
