APLONDON - Queen Elizabeth II will attend the Kentucky Derby during her state visit to the United States in May.
She will be a guest of breeder William Farish, a former U.S. ambassador to Britain, at the May 5 race, according to The Sunday Times. Her tour will include several stud farms, the paper said, citing the Queen’s racing manager, John Warren.
The queen’s visit is scheduled for May 3-9.
The first of three pools of the Kentucky Derby Future Wager begins its three-day run on Friday and the bet's opening scenario is very similar to each of its opening pools since the wager was created in 1999.
It's first time that Classic will be broadcast in primetime on Nov. 3.
