APKNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Tennessee coach Bruce Pearl sat in the student section tonight for the tipoff of the game between the fourth-ranked Lady Vols and top-ranked Duke.
He was shirtless and his chest was painted in orange with a "V" for Volunteers on it.
Coach Pat Summitt appeared to acknowledge him and gestured enthusiastically at Pearl.
Some of the men's players were with Pearl, spelling out "Go Vols" on their painted chests.
Duke won 74-70.
Arc's five up, five down: After No. 11 Michigan State's 58-48 upset of No. 3 Ohio State, you'd be a fool to discount the Spartans' national title chances now.
Tim Hardaway Jr. scored 15 points and Evan Smotrycz added 13, helping No. 22 Michigan remain unbeaten at home with a 70-61 win over Illinois on Sunday.
