APDETROIT - Johan Franzen, Mathieu Schneider and Kris Draper scored in the final 10 minutes of the second period to lead the Detroit Red Wings to a 4-2 exhibition victory over the Florida Panthers on Sunday night.
Franzen scored on a power play at 11:59, Schneider tied it on another power play with 2:11 left and Draper gave Detroit (2-1-1) a 3-2 lead with 1:34 remaining.
Robert Lang completed the scoring with an empty-net, power-play goal with 2 seconds left in the game. Schneider also had two assists for the Red Wings.
Janis Sprukts and Rik Jackman scored first-period goals for Florida (0-5-1), both against Detroit starter Dominik Hasek.
Hasek finished with 10 saves in two periods and Stefan Liv stopped all 14 shots he faced in the third. Ed Belfour made 27 saves for the Panthers.
