Could Mark Cuban, a Pittsburgh native, will reportedly not be the next owner of the Penguins.

PITTSBURGH - The Pittsbrugh Penguins have said no thanks to Mark Cuban.

The team has rejected a bid to buy the team by a group that included the Dallas Mavericks owner and former Dolphins quarterback Dan Marino, according to ESPN, which cited multiple newspaper reports.

The report said that New York financier Andrew Murstein, who backed the bid, claimed the group increased its offer to more than $170 million on Friday. That was as high as the group wanted to go.

Connecticut real estate developer Sam Fingold is the high bidder so far, according to the report, at about $175 million.
