No words can express how we, fans of baseball, feel about Kirby. He wasn't just a baseball player, but a man who loved the game he played. For those of us fortunate enough to follow his career, we did not associate him with the Minnesota Twins, but associated the Minnesota Twins with Kirby. I can remember going to the game and someone asking who was playing. The anwser was not "The Twins"; but "Kirby Puckett and his team". Though he has been missed from the game, he has remained in our hearts with the knowledge that he was around. Nevertheless, I'll find solace in knowing he is healthy and has excellent eyesight as he watches from heaven. I thank him for giving us the thrill of watching him play and I will continue to keep his family and friends in my prayers as they mourn his passing.

Puckett was what was good about baseball. He was a complete joy to watch even when he was beating your team. I'll always remember the World Series home run and his smile. Kirby you will be missed.

Kirby was a great player, but not a great person. Lets be sure not too put this guy on such a high moral pedistool AFTER he is gone.

Kirby Puckett played baseball and lived life without hesitation. No lingering doubts or fears hampered him. He had the courage to do what was necessary whenever it was necessary. He was an inspiration to those with whom he played and to those who watched him play. Farewell Mr. Puckett.
