MILWAUKEE - Deanna Favre, wife of Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre, was aboard a private plane that had to make an unscheduled landing in Phoenix after experiencing problems with its hydraulic system.

“Everybody is home safely,” said Becky Stuart, a Favre family assistant.

Stuart said Deanna Favre was in Las Vegas raising money for Hurricane Katrina relief. She was originally scheduled to land in Hattiesburg, Miss., Monday night but didn’t make it back until later that night after switching planes.

Stuart said Brett Favre, who has yet to announce whether he’ll play for the Packers next season, wasn’t on the airplane. Favre is a native of Kiln, Miss., and the family lives in Mississippi in the offseason.
