SPOKANE, Wash. - A bloody piece of gauze that Gonzaga star Adam Morrison allegedly used to stop a nosebleed in Monday’s game against Pepperdine has been pulled from eBay after bids for it climbed to more than $60.

The seller posted a note saying the NCAA and Gonzaga University had asked him to remove the item from the auction site because of rules involving student-athletes.

“Once Adam Morrison is no longer a student-athlete, I will start a new auction for the item,” the seller wrote. “Look for this auction to start again around the date of the NBA draft in 2006 or 2007.”

Morrison is a junior but is widely expected to announce for the NBA after this season.

Morrison used the gauze in the first half and threw it to the floor under the basket. The gauze went up for sale on Tuesday for $1.
