Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Holmgren didn't shake counterpart Bill Cowher's hand after Super Bowl XL, but it wasn't because of sour grapes, the NFL said on its official Web site.

The Web site said the coaches were supposed to meet and shake hands at the 25-yard line, but they were confused as to which of the two 25-yard lines it was. They each went to different ones.

Unable to find Cowher amid the crowd on the field, Holmgren went to his locker room, the Web site said.

The Web site said that the coaches finally greeted each other in the Seahawks' locker room. No cameras caught the moment, however.
