It's not the first time Kendra Davis has been involved in controversy, according to newspaper reports.
Kendra Davis, who was Miss Illinois Teen USA as 16-year-old Kendra Meeks in 1991, once got into a shouting match with the Knicks' Latrell Sprewell in Game 3 of a playoff series when Davis was a member of the Toroto Raptors.
In 2002, at a Raptors practice, Kendra Davis unleashed a verbal tirade against a Toronto Sun columnist who had written about hearing her voice her desire for Antonio to be traded. It was so bad that Raptors security had to intervene, the Chicago Tribune reported.
The Davises eventually did get Antonio traded to the Bulls on Dec. 1, 2003, prompting a Sun columnist Steve Simmons to write, "Appropriately named, the Chicago Bulls get Mr. and Mrs. Davis in the trade and soon they will understand what bull is all about."
About Wednesday night's incident, Kendra Davis told the New York Daily News that her husband was 100 percent in the right to enter the stands.
"It was probably good that he came up," she said. "People around us didn't like to hear that kind of language. We knew there would be some consequences to his actions, whether he deserved them or not."
Kendra Davis told the Daily News that Bulls fans swore at her and grabbed her wrist in front of their 10-year-old twins, Kaela and Antonio Jr. (A.J.).
"There was a lot of finger-pointing," she told thew newspaper. "Maybe he thought I was going to slap him because he knew that's the kind of language you get slapped for."
"At one point, they grabbed my mom," said Kaela Davis, 10.
Kendra Davis told the Daily News that she was at the game with her two children and at least 10 members of her daughter's basketball team, which Antonio Davis coaches.
She told the Daily News that a fan yelled at the kids to sit down after they stood up late in the game. She said someone else yelled a vulgar reference about Kendra's anatomy, which led to the standoff.
"You see a lot and you hear a lot from the fans," Kendra Davis said. "But I don't think it needs to get personal and name-calling when my kids are right there. There are just a few knuckleheads out there, like anywhere."
Kobe Bryant hit a baseline jump shot with 4.2 seconds left and the Los Angeles Lakers wrapped up a six-game road trip by holding on to beat the Raptors 94-92 on Sunday, their eighth victory in nine meetings with Toronto
