In the end, Seattle did enough on its own to self-destruct any potential win. But I still have to say it, "Where did that officiating come from?" Referee all-star team my...! (5 second delay)
--Mike Kiffer, Buffalo, N.Y.

As with most "Super" bowls, it didn't live up to the pre-game hype: a sloppy, mistake-filled game that turned on a few big plays and lousy officiating. Don't you have to have control of the ball to score?
--Don Althaus, Lake Havasu City, Ariz.

The MVP should have been Bill Peavy and his officating crew. One questionable call after another gave the Seahawks no chance. When they penalized Matt Hasselback for making a tackle after he threw an interception it became evident that the officials were trying to influence the game. A terrible job by the refs.
--Mike Beglin, Avon, Ind.

How did these two teams get to the Super Bowl? It looked as though neither team had practiced since their conference championships. Too many mistakes by the players, coachs and the refs! This game was a Super "bore."
--Jeff Elliott, Canton, Mich.

People need to quit squawking like hens waiting in line at the Perdue processing plant! All I heard this morning was, "The referees blew this call and that call and the game woulda been different if..." Fans like it when penalties go "their" way. Then and only then are they OK. Referee calls, good or bad are just a part of the game and always have been. The Steelers outplayed, outtricked and outcoached the Seahawks and achieved an historic victory -- winning against great teams in the playoffs and on the road to boot. They deserve the title and now own it for this year. Get over it.
--James, North Olmstead, Ohio

It was obvious Seattle was the better team. They were plagued with some mistakes and some ridiculous calls that stopped momentum on several drives. Pittsburgh's defense was overhyped and Hasselbeck basically showed it by controlling the clock. Pittsburgh won by calls and gadget plays, which is too bad.
--Al, Kelso, Wash.
