After meeting on the painted rose in the middle of the field for the coin toss, Matt Leinart and Vince Young won’t see each other face-to-face until the dust settles.
Unlike the titanic tug-of-war for the national championship between USC and Texas, there’s no scoreboard for the duel between this year’s Heisman Trophy runner-ups. Their match will be scored both comparatively and subjectively.
But with each already having three years as a starter under their respective belts, it’s not too soon to start comparing these two signal-callers, who might meet for coin tosses on Sundays for many years to come.
