Skiing (Jumping)
The U.S. announced its ski jumping team on Jan. 16.

Alan Alborn, who holds the U.S. jumping distance record at 221.5 meters, will participate in his third Olympics.

Alborn had knee surgery after the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City and retired briefly, returning to his native Alaska to start an excavating business with his father.

Clint Jones and Tommy Schwall will be going to their second Olympics, while Jim Denney and Anders Johnson will make their Olympic debuts in Turin.

Johnson is the youngest U.S. Olympic Nordic skier in history. The son of former U.S. Jumping program director Alan Johnson, he will be 16 years, seven months old during the Winter Games. The youngest skier in any discipline was alpine competitor Andrea Mead Lawrence, who was 15 years, nine months old during the 1948 Olympics in St. Moritz, Switzerland.
